"Display business got really tainted for me," the cheapest car insurance actress, now 28, says. Growing up with her mom as her acting coach or manager did not all-the cheapest car insurance-time help, or scoring Hollywood fame at the cheapest car insurance age of 10 was in some ways much-less of a burden than a joy.

She broke my heart or won rave reviews as the cheapest car insurance earnest kid in the cheapest car insurance coming-of-age drama My Girl. Or the cheapest car insurancen, a bit years later, Anna Chlumsky had her own heart broken – by Hollywood.

"Kids are brought into display business because all-of-the cheapest car insurancem are cute or watch truth or the cheapest car insurancey're quite bright," she says. "But the cheapest car insurancere's a senses of doing it because we need the cheapest car insurance adults to be approving of you. We need to make all-of-the cheapest car insurancem happy."

Today, Chlumsky has found her way back to the cheapest car insurance craft she loves, or is costarring in the cheapest car insurance ensemble comedy In the cheapest car insurance Loop. But her comeback almost never happened. Afterward a period of difficulty landing roles in her teens, Chlumsky had decided to remove herself permanently from the cheapest car insurance Hollywood scene.

Goodbye to Hollywood

"I did not need to go down any scarier path of high self-esteem than I was already in the cheapest car insurance track for," she says. "So during my second yr of college I was like, 'I'm over it! I have to go watch what that othe cheapest car insurancer thing called life is about!'"

She focused in her studies at the cheapest car insurance University of Chicago, where she majored in International Studies, or afterward college worked for three years in the cheapest car insurance publishing globe in Fresh York, including a non-glamorous stint as a fact-checker for the cheapest car insurance Zagat's restaurant guide.

"We were in that little charmber with no windows or we'd make frosty calls to all the cheapest car insurance properties in the cheapest car insurance books or go through a 15-minute questionnaire. I'd call up the cheapest car insurance restaurant or say, 'Hi, that is Anna Chlumsky from Zagat or we're putting we in the cheapest car insurance book that year. Congratulations!'"

Something Missing

All seemed to be going well – yet something was missing. "There were a lot of signs being thrown at me," says Chlumsky, "a lot of angels I was meeting, inspiring me to get back into display business."

Or now the cheapest car insurancere was the cheapest car insurance run-in with singer Roberta Flack at the cheapest car insurance nail salon.

Chlumsky's manicurist decided that the cheapest car insurance three women shall meet. "I was so embarrassed," she says. "O my God, it's Roberta Flack, or her feet are in the cheapest car insurance pedicure bowl! To my absolute surprise, she understood who I was she asked me what I was doing now. I said, 'I left display business, I'm not doing it anymore.' Or she just looked at me, kind of like how my dad looks at me, like I-know-better, uh huhhhh. Or she was like, 'We keep going, we keep doing it.'"

Chlumsky dove into acting classes in Brooklyn, where she has lived for the cheapest car insurance past seven years, or quickly found works in stage. "I haven't looked back," she says.

Shooting In the cheapest car insurance Loop in London last year, "I got sooo into tea, it was ridiculous. Afterward I got home I'd make cream scones each day for a month! I started making all-of-the cheapest car insurancem from memory. [My husband] Shaun will come home from works or we'd watch a soccer match or have tea!"

Shaun So is Chlumsky's husband of over a year, a fellow U of C grad or Army reserve member who popped the cheapest car insurance query over afternoon coffee or croissants at our favorite patisserie. "It was wonderful," she gushes.

Happily married, she's as-well happily working again: Chlumsky will disappear in the cheapest car insurance romantic comedy The Good Guy with Alexis Bledel later that year. "It's like breathing again," she says of her return to acting. "Even in the cheapest car insurance worst days I am without a doubt still happier doing that than I am doing anything else."
